The ALTEF® treatment improves the properties of aluminum parts as follows:
- the surface becomes as hard as case-hardened steel
- the non-stick properties become much better
- the sliding ability increases thanks to PTFE
- the corrosion resistance is increased
Improving the properties of aluminum in many cases allows the use of aluminum instead of other materials such as steel, brass etc.. The ALTEF® treatment is successfully used on parts for a wide variety of applications in a wide range of industries.
