The Training Center for Mechanics (TCM) was founded in Basel (Switzerland) in 1939. Our core business is training/education as well as production in a professional practice for Poly-Mechanics students. We produce for national/international customers according ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 13485:2016.

For the TCM, it is self-evident for us to take technical, methodological and didactic innovations into training. State-of-the-art machinery and equipment optimally support our training concept. Training on controlled turning and milling machines starts right at the beginning of the education. For this training in CNC (Computerized Numerical Control) technology, the TMC was recognized by the professional associations (SwissMECHANIC) as a training and competence center of the region of northwest Switzerland.
In order to prepare the students for the final examination and also to prepare them for the needs of the industry, we work in a modern machinery environment which is highly automated using data exchange with computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) programs.
In order to offer the students an interesting work program we acquire orders from industry exactly like other companies. We produce for national and international customers. We own the ISO certifications: 9001:2015 and ISO 13485:2016. In addition, we also produce our own products like the “piccolo DA102” a lathe machine which we have already sold more than 180 times.
