Plastic components for mechanical engineering

Our customer, a machinery manufacturer, was developing a new machine and required milling and turning parts made from plastics. The requisites for an appropriate material were the smooth running as well as the resistance against high temperatures.

Furthermore, our customer was looking for a solution to cover the machining zone and protect the operator. The transparent cover should reflect the high quality of the customer’s product and at the same time, it should have the functionality of protecting the machine operator working in front of the machine. By screen printing or digital printing, the company logo can be applied on to the acrylic glass or polycarbonate to additionally highlight the branding of the company.

With 30 years of experience in plastics processing, we supported our customer in choosing the right materials and carefully examining the feasibility of the components. In a first stage, the prototypes were manufactured at Acryline AG. After the successful test phase, final adjustments such as design and engineering measures were carried out by the customer. Finally, the serial production was succuessfully started up and carried out at Acryline AG in Oberglatt.
