UMATI
UMATI is an open and license-free standard based on OPC UA (UMATI = OPC UA Companion Specification). This interface represents a defined and standardized information model. Among other things, the name, type and output frequency of relevant data are defined independent of the manufacturer. The information model thus creates the basis for different higher-level applications and use cases, e.g. the calculation of OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness). The declared goal is to create a manufacturer-independent platform.Above all, however, the way is clear for the development of corresponding I4.0 solutions.
